Extended Metaphors

If I were an Animal, I would be a black cat because I am full of mystery and wisdom just like the black cats that have come before us. Black cats to me are having a lot of wisdom and full of mystery. When I relate that back to myself I would have to say when it comes to me only being seventeen I am full of a lot of wisdom no matter what It be over and for someone my age is not supposed to have that much of wisdom. Then with everything I have been through I have also got a lot of mystery to me because of all the things that I have been through in my life.

If I were a song, I would be a rap song because you could sum up my life with it. In any rap song you listen to it sums up that singers life in just a few verses no matter if the song is sad, depressing, or even happy. My life and everything I have been through have made it to where my life would make an interesting rap song. It would be a song with a lot of emotion. This is what most rap people put into a song.

If I were a fragrance, I would be manly musk (that smelled good) because then I could smell myself all the time. When it comes to smelling good, I would rather use a manly scent because it defines me as a person because most people don’t find me to be a girly girl, which is ok with me. So I keep my scent on the manly side of things opposed to the girly side or I try to keep it somewhere in between depending on my day. A very manly fragrance is something that appeals to me more than anything no matter what it be from.

The Ultimate All-Purpose Excuse

For future info, this did not really happen, but it is a good story.
There was one day I didn’t do absolutely nothing because of the fact that I was hurting everywhere and there was a big storm getting ready to come in. well it started off as my dad asking me why I didn’t do anything for that day. I replied to him by saying because I was hurting, but apparently that was just an excuse opposed to being the real thing. The fight started off as my dad said well I do more than you do in one day so how can you be so tired and sore that you can’t even do your chores, and you need to get up off of your lazy butt and start doing them right now before I get really mad. Then there is me being the smart-elic I am said well what about the days you’re off work you’re always sitting down on your lazy butt watching TV and you hardly ever move from one spot, you would rather have people bring our food to you hand and foot opposed to you getting it yourself. Then with that dad really got upset, and stormed off out of the room. When he came back he only had a few words to say, which were do you have anything to say for yourself? I replied very calmly and said well of course I do because I don’t have to do this today, because I am sore. And that mess in this kitchen I didn’t do that, so I shouldn’t be the one to clean it up. I shouldn’t have to clean that up whenever I didn’t do that. So you or someone who actually made it should, not me. Then that was the end of that conversation between me and him for the day.

What's in a Name?

Well I guess I have to start with my name on this, so here it is, my full name is Natasha Carol Carpenter. Pretty much all parts of my name were handed down to me from the generations before me. So to start off I will start with my first name, the NAT part comes from my uncle Nathan on my mom’s side, and the ASHA part comes from one of my mom’s friends that she had after she got out of high school. CAROL comes from my grandma on my mother’s side, and my grandma got it from her grandma, so it’s one of those every other generation names. Then lastly CARPENTER come from my mother’s side again because it is our last names of course. To me my name does not truly have a very symbolic meaning besides the fact it was the name my mother changed my name to when she found out I was a girl instead of a boy. My name was supposed to be Jonathan Michael Carpenter, because my mother wanted a boy so bad opposed to a girl. I feel like my name somewhat suits me, but not very much. This with that being said I can honestly say I would have chosen a different name for myself, something more like Nariko Carol Carpenter. When it comes to my actual name though, it does set me off a little when people don’t say it right because like our biology teacher who says it wrong it is actually pronounced a different way than what he says it is. It does get aggravating at times when my own family members get it mixed up but I get used to it and just go with it. Our biology teacher is one of the only teachers in the school that can pronounce it wrong and get away with it. . .only because it’s not worth arguing over. To be honest it is sometimes hard to live with a name like mine because hardly anyone can spell it right, some teachers I have had, has spelled it wrong or just completely wrong (something that doesn’t even look like my name). For example a principle at Monett elementary spelled my name NOETOSHO…..like Neosho and Natasha Mixed together. It’s also hard to live with because some people can’t pronounce it right. I have learned to just ignore it and correct it when people mess it up.

Prologue

Why hello there, my name is Natasha, I can also be known as Tasha, which is a weird name to be known by, but oh well. I got to Pierce City High School; I will be graduating in May on the twelfth, whoop! So that means that I am a senior already. J I have been going to Pierce City Schools since I was in sixth grade which was back in 2007, because I started in March. School for me has seemed to change and get a lot harder over the years as I have been here but things so far this year have seemed to calm down a lot since my junior year. That’s only because when you’re a senior things seem to fly by along with your schooling especially if you have easy classes. Which with being a high school senior it’s hard to find a “easy” class because just about every class up under your grade you have taken besides maybe two or three classes. So you basically just got to guess and check. Sometimes even doing that it is hard to keep your classes in order. When it comes to being a senior you have a lot of things going through your mind, no matter it be you getting ready to graduate, college, scholarships or even girlfriends/boyfriends you hope to someday marry and be with for the rest of your life. After your last year of high school you start the real game, meaning you start your real life, and you only live one so make this lifetime count.
Well enough about school and how being a senior is awesome, so I will start by telling you more about me. I am seventeen years old, and will be eighteen on April 12. I have red hair and green eyes, if you didn’t know that I might have to call you crazy.  I have only a few goals in my little life, they might not seem like much, but they mean a lot to me. One of the few goals that I have set for myself would be that I need to do well in life and go to college to better my education, no matter what degree of learning I go into. The second goal I have set for myself is to be a better person so that way one day I will be able to handle tougher situations, no matter where it is at. The third and last goal I have set would have to do with starting a family because I would love to have a family of my own someday, no matter if it is someday soon or someday later in life. It is just going to be a tough long road for that one, I guess I will just have to ride it out and see where my own two feet take me. It seems as though the journey through life will be very harsh, but everyone’s pathways are different, let’s just wait and see if my road leads to the right way.
