10 Anti-Resolutions for 2013

I can honestly say I have never done anything like this before, so here goes nothing. Here are my Anti-Resolutions for 2013 :)

1. I do not plan on getting married this year.

My friends that are close to me know that this will be hard for me, considering I will be going to Eureka Springs Arkansas

2. I do not plan on watching kids as another job.

We all know this one will be hard for me, considering I got five siblings that are younger than me. :( So they are always in need of watching, but I will not watch them and let someone else take over that role.

3. I am not big on the whole big city places to live.

So whenever I move out, I can bet you the place I move won’t be that big to me. :)

4. When it comes to everything with graduation, I do not plan on crying in front of my friends, family, and people I do not know whenever they hand me my diploma.

This is going to be hard considering I am a really emotional person, whenever it comes to something big.

5. I do not simply plan on losing weight this year.

Whenever I try to lose weight, I keep finding myself gaining it. So whenever I go to lose weight I might try a couple different things to try and keep on the weight (but this time it will be muscle).

6. I will not let my Senioritis kick in on this last semester of school.

This is hard because it is the last semester, so I will tend to be lazier towards school. It won’t matter what classes I attend, but I will have to start working towards being more aware of everything in my classes and keeping up with everything.

7. I do not plan on doing anything fancy in art.

When it comes to doing something fancy in art, you have to take into consideration that it will be very time consuming. No matter how elegant it will turn out. So who would want to spend all their time on one piece of art work, and there be a possibility of it turning out great.

8. I will not write essays more than a page or two long.

When it comes to writing essays they are very time consuming, and sometimes they never turn out the way you want them to. So when I go to write an essay it will just be plain, simple and straight to the point, no matter how boring it is. :)

9. I will start getting more motivated for my first hour class.

During first hour it is very hard for me to get motivated because I am NOT a morning person at all. So instead of just coming to school, falling asleep in class, I might as well get motivated and come to school prepared and in a good mood.

10.  During study hall I will start getting work done for once.

During study hall I hardly ever do anything depending on the teacher I have because I always have nothing to do. But I will start bringing things to class to get out of that state of boredom, which always comes with nothing to do.

  1. Hi! I am confused on the first one you put that you won't be getting married but going to Eureka Springs, what does that mean? The second one I can really relate to, since I have a little brother my mother is always like will you watch him, or talking to her friends "oh, Haley can watch him" it's like dude I have a life!!! ugh...The 3rd I'm kinda unsure about, I don't know if I want to live in a small town or big city because I like both but that's when there are pros and cons to each and you just have to weigh them out. I'm agreeing with you the senioritous has finally kicked in, I'm so ready to be out of here. I have countdowns going everywhere lol. I find it hard to focus and do my work because I'm like I only have a semester left and I know I'm going to graduate so whatever. I think your antiresolutions are very good! I wish you goodluck with these!!!!

    1. Well on the first one, I am engadged. But i do not plan on getting married anytime soon, or at least i hope. :) and it only has to do with Eurika Springs is because i have a friend going down there to get married, he is taking me and my fiance down there with him and his fiance. So he said if we got married then he would pay for all of it for us as a "wedding" gift. :)

  2. Tasha,
I am somewhat confused on your resolutions. I get the titles but not really sure on some of the explanations lol but they are still pretty good considering. I think I understand what you're trying to say when you wrote these so it's all good. Its good that you plan on using your time wisley in study hall so maybe it won't put so much stress when you have a lot of homework to take home and finish that night. It's is always good to motivate yourself. Even if you don't like a class if you tell yourself it's going to be horrible then it will but if you get yourself motivated to get in there and overcome the classs then you will leave and find that the class isn't all too bad or that you may even start to enjoy it. Good luck this year! I hope eveything works out!

  3. Natasha,
Your first anti-resolution is confusing because I don’t think you finished your thought. Your 2nd resolution I can relate to in away. I don’t have 5 siblings but I always have to watch him and if I try to make plans then my parents either tell me to take him with me or figure it out because they have other plans themselves. Of course, there plans are more important than mine. Your 3rd resolution is one I wish I would have thought of. I hate big cities and I will live in a small town in the country, at least that’s my wish. Your 4th resolution I am not sure I could keep ahold of the tears. I am not graduating this year but my cousin is and I know that I am going to cry for him, so I definitely know I am going to cry at my graduation. The rest of your resolutions are great ones and I hope that you can complete them. :)

  4. Well, this is the most odd anti-resolutions post I have read so far. You have set a lot of goals for yourself and I hope you are able to live up to. By the Eureka Springs thing, I hope you mean college. Life is full of surprises and marriage is just one thing that you should not be expecting. Its one of the many great things in life to find love and you are surrounded by a lot of love. I see that most of your anti-resolutions are actually easy to comply to. Do not limit yourself in all the great things you can do. I know you are capable of more so work hard and let's graduate together. Remember, the more you lessen your work, the more senioritis you will eventually have because of the low quantity or quality of work that you are exerting. Don't be a Jake Curtis. Instead, be Albert Einstein and use your imagination to make things possible.

  5. Natasha, I really look forward to reading about your plans for your future during this class. I think you should only get married when you're ready and if you want to wait until next year I have faith you can do it. Since I am the youngest in my family I was never really around younger kids so I enjoy watching them every once in awhile. I do think it would get annoying to have to watch you siblings all the time though. I have lived in a small town my whole life so I would like to live in a big city to see what its like. You will definitely see me crying at graduation! I think its totally normal because it's a huge stepping stone for all of us so let it rain, girl! I'm not sure I understand your resolution about art. Putting lots of time into a piece you care about could turn out amazing so I encourage you to make your artwork unique to you no matter how long it takes. :) I know how you feel about being motivated during first hour. getting out of bed was enough work in itself! I agree with Sura, don't limit yourself and keep an open mind. Best of luck with everything!

Why would going to Eureka Springs have anything to do with getting married? Next you couldn’t pay me to babysit any bodies kids I do not have the patient. Next a have to ask is why does everybody cry at Graduation? I promise I won’t. I look forward to that day so bad i'm so ready to leave! Everyone tells me not to wish my life away but I respond with I aint wishing my life away just 4 months of it hahaha. And the good ol’ Senioritis it was working on me a long time ago I showed up to open house not wanting anything to do with school work and then they bring us back second semester with homework like this.. Talk about a kick to the nads!! Essays I wish I could write a 2 page essay much less anything over 3 pages. If you added all the words I use more than once in a day you probably couldn’t get 2 pages

  7. Good idea to not get married this year i mean i dont see why you would, do you even have a boyfriend?lol. I love kids and definitely could babysit them, I have always loved kids and can't wait to have two of my own. I will definitely cry at graduation because im leaving my friends, i won't get to play high school football anymore, and I have so many memories that I have experienced in high school. To late for me having senioritus, I got it the first day of this school year! This is because Im ready to go to college and get a dgree and get to play football again, oh and lets not forgot college parties!! Now what if a teacher tells you to write a three page essay are you just going to say no or what?

    1. I would honestly say that to the whole essay thing, i would do it to get it over with. But that would probably be the onlyy reason id even do it lol. and on the getting married part you would have to ask me in person for me to tell you lol. :)

  8. You have five little siblings? That sounds like a special form of Hell. I am sure that there are some good points that come along with that, but I cannot seem to think of any off of the top of my head. It has always just been my brother and I and he is older than me, so I really cannot imagine little siblings that well at all. You just earned a lot of points in my book. Good luck avoiding catching the senioritis bug; I already have it and I am only a junior! I have no clue how I am going to make it through senior year. With regards to the morning person part, I am with you there. I can stay up until 3 in the morning with no problems. It is the waking up the next morning part that really throws me off. Anyway, good luck with your list!

  9. I can relate to number three on your list. I would not want to move into a big city all because of the crowded space and not being able to have a privacy of my own. Glad to hear that you wouldn't want to move to a big city but I'm quite interested where you would want to move because there also the option of a small city or the country too. I can also relate to your idea of not getting married this year. Being married could complicate things in life at our age because of the stress of school work, society, and economy altogether. But if you ever do change your mind and decide to get married then I want you to be happy with yourself and to take really good care of yourself Natasha!
